Hey friends! Before I show you Week 36 from 2013, I wanted to share with you a few things that I have going on in the upcoming weeks:
First, today is a BIG day for Chris and I...we are closing on our house at 2pm! Yay! We are going to be homeowners again! We cannot wait! I will take some pics and give you al little tour later this week!
Second, anyone out there doing Ali Edwards' Week In The Life? As of about 10:30 last night I wasn't going to. I just couldn't imagine trying to keep up with it since we will be moving this week. But then I realized that she has digital templates to go along with the class, so I decided to take the plunge and do a digital version. So much neater than having to pull out all of my scrapbook supplies! I will try to do a daily post on this, (Monday will be up on Tuesday, etc), but with moving, I may have to wait and do one big re-cap post once the week is over.
Third, you know once Halloween is over this weekend the 2014 Holiday Season will be in full swing! Are you prepared? Are you organized? If not, my Keep It Together: The Holiday Edition Workshop over at Scrapaneers.com will be a BIG help to you! In this workshop you will create a 6x8 organizer that will keep everything from your Christmas Card Address to Gift Ideas to Holiday Recipes and more, all organized in a neat little binder. You need to check this out! Click the photo below to register!
Fourth, speaking of the holidays and classes...Show of hands...how many of you have done an album just for the month of December, (like a December Daily)? How many have always wanted to do an album just for this special month, but thought it would be too overwhelming with everything else going on?
A lot of you! I thought so!
I believe I may have a solution for you! I have a new workshop beginning December 1 over at Scrapaneers.com:
I've collaborated with Melanie Ritchie, Amanda Taylor and Karla Dudley to bring you a class full of digital papers and elements, pre-designed templates, daily photo/journal prompts, Photoshop styles and more! You will have all the tools you need to complete an 8x8 digital album by the end of December. I'll have sneak peek post for you this week! Registration will open Monday, November 3!
Okay, on to Week 36:
Even though my birthday fell during this week, I remember it being extremely stressful! All of the class materials for my very first online workshop (Empty Nest Scrapbooking) at Scrapaneers was due and my computer died! I was so upset! On the flip side, it was my birthday, so I got a new computer! First desk top I had in a long time! I was using a laptop since 2004. I was so used to sitting on the couch with my laptop, watching TV. Having a desktop computer was going to take some getting used to. But now that I've had it for a year, I love it! Love all the real estate the big screen has to offer!
The "love this" square came from the digital version of "Just Add Color." The original color of it was green and I changed it to blue to match the layout. I gotta tell ya, I don't know if I will purchase the traditional versions of core kits anymore. The digital versions are much more versatile!!!
I used a combination of PL products and those from Studio Calico and Cocoa Daisy on this layout.
