If you are working on a December Daily album this year, remember, it's totally fine to include non-Christmas stories! My story for Day 8 has nothing to do with Christmas at all:
I have been dying to use one of the 3x8 page protectors that Ali offers in her shop. I love having a variety of protectors to choose from. They add so much dimension to the album. I requested to have the day off from Paper Source yesterday so I can schedule a photo shoot for the company my BF works for. They needed some head shots taken for a new website they are launching in January. I met them in downtown Tampa for an outdoor session. You can read more about it in one of the photos below.
I snapped a photo of a palm tree against the bright, blue sky. I love how this insert turned out! The December stamp is from the Storytelling With December Daily digital stamp set that came with the class. I added a white line underneath in and placed the puffy number "8" sticker from Kelly Purkey's December Daily Mini Kit on top.
On the back side of the insert is where I told my story. Both the front and back were printed on one 8.5x11 glossy photo paper and trimmed down. I added one of the vellum sticker borders from Kelly's kit for a pop of color.
I am saving a spot on this page to add a picture from the shoot. I don't feel right about including it in my album and sharing it without the client seeing their photos first! So next week, once I deliver their pics, I will add a photo in this space. The "Story of Today" is from one of the files included in the SWDD class. I cut it out on my Silhouette on Bazzill card stock. I used Super Tacky Tape to attach it to a 3x4 piece of page protector and slipped it inside the pocket so it kinda "floats" there. The 4x6 pic is one I snapped of a mosaic on the wall of the Glazer Children's Museum, which was next to the park where the photo shoot took place. The "merry & bright" button is one I had in my supplies. I think it is from A Flair For Buttons.
Have a good Hump Day! The weekend is almost here!
